Mazda debut the BT-50 at Sydney Motor Show

Mazda said, the BT-50 will be presented in nearly all the world, from the middle of next year, except the North American market.


At the Sydney Motor Show taking place in Australia, Mazda has launched pickups named BT-50 that was developed based on the Ford Ranger.

Mazda has not announced the specifications engine of the BT-50, but would be possible a 2.2L four-cylinder and 2.5L five-cylinder diesel engines that was used for the Ford Ranger. In addition, there may be a 2.5L four-cylinder gasoline engine.

Both the Ford Ranger and Mazda BT-50 will be assembled at the factory joint venture AutoAlliance in Rayong, Thailand, from early next year.

Expected, the Mazda BT-50 will be officially available on the European market, Asia and Australia from mid 2011.
