Honda Canada to stop production Insight and Civic hybrid

After being revived, 2010 Honda Insight fast becoming big disappointment for consumers in North America. Suffer the same fate is Civic hybrid, business situation of the Honda hybrid cars are even worse in the Canadian market when higher fuel prices, so, people are forced to buy these vehicles save more efficient.
According to unofficial information of a site in Canada, Honda has stopped production line both the Civic hybrid models and Insight in this country. Look at table sales of Honda Canada, Honda Civic in general are keep the first position with 31,604 units sold during the first 6 months in 2010. However, only about 643 Honda Civic hybrid to customers in Canada while this number of the Insight is 748.
When Insight and Civic hybrid was introduced in the Canadian market, Honda expected to sell about 10,000 units per year. However, seems like people in Canada not interested in hybrid lines. Even the Toyota Prius, current heavyweight rivals Honda hybrid, only 2272 units were sold to consumers in this country.
Currently, Honda has not given any information about the stops to produce two hybrid models: Civic and Insight. Capable, Honda Canada will continue to sell CR-Z and maintain this car as the only products (Hybrid) in Canada market.
