The Paris Motor Show this year will mark the start of the new design style of the French carmaker Renault,with the first model concept - the DeZir.
This model is also the first project of the new vice president for design of Renault, Mr Laurens van den Acker. The company said the concept shows stylish design simple, nice and warm.
With the DeZir, the first two criteria in the new design direction is shown clearly and red color finish creating a warm feeling to "hot" car.
The Renault DeZir uses electrical energy, a 24 kWh lithium-ion batteries like the Nissan Leaf and with a full battery, the car can run 160 km. However, unlike the Leaf, batteries of this concept is designed to replace the battery quick.
A 110 kW electric motor will help the 830 kg coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5 seconds. Renault has not revealed plans to produce the DeZir concept.
